Tadej Pogacar wasn’t wearing the yellow jersey yet when he sent this video to the Organizing Committee of the 2020 UCI World Championships in Imola – Emilia-Romagna, but he already had his eyes focused on the rainbow jersey, which will be up for grabs from the 24th to the 27th September at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari Racetrack.
The video was recorded during the last rest day and just a few hours later he set the most prestigious stage race on fire, offering himself and all cycling fans around the world a victory that will stay forever in the history of sport.
The UAE Team champion who turns 22 today (happy birthday!), after having conquered the Tour de France, is travelling to Italy with the Slovenian national team. At Imola2020 the Grande Boucle winner promises to give another great performance.
I still have to try out the race course, but for Sunday I expect a long and demanding race, like the ones I like.
