The Dutch athlete claims also the Women Elite Road Race at the Worlds, having ridden solo from 41km remaining, and covering the 143km route in 4h09’57” (average speed: 34.327 km/h). Annemiek van Vleuten (Netherlands) finishes second and Elisa Longo Borghini (Italy) takes third.
